Reset Studios designed a focused tenant improvement for Indie Learning Center in Phoenix, enhancing functionality within its 9,530 SF existing facility. The remodel scope covered approximately 2,000 SF, introducing three new large group rooms with ceilings, adding separating doors, and combining select spaces to create expanded learning areas. With full as-built drawings and digital Matterhorn files available, the design process remained efficient and precise, resulting in an upgraded environment tailored to the center’s educational needs while maximizing the use of the existing layout.
Because the building held historic significance within its district, the project required close coordination with city officials to navigate approvals and ensure compliance with strict preservation standards. The occupancy change added another layer of complexity, demanding detailed code review and thoughtful design solutions that preserved the building’s character while meeting current life safety and accessibility requirements. Through collaboration and persistence, Reset Studios achieved a balanced approach that respected the site’s history while enabling its next chapter as an inspiring educational environment.
