For The Maggiore Group’s newest concept in Chandler, Reset Studios led the design of a full restaurant remodel to bring The Mexicano’s lively brand into a new setting for the repeat client. The project transformed the former Majerle’s Sports Grill space—approximately 4,700 SF of interior dining and 1,600 SF of patio—through a comprehensive tenant improvement design process and a rigorous review process through Chandler’s Development Department.
Working from as-built plans and a complex Revit file to create the design and construction documents, the renovation reimagined the existing kitchen layout with an added forward hot line and expanded food pass, while the new “Build Your Own Margarita” bar feature energizes the reconfigured entry zone. The refreshed patio design with new modern steel structure enlarges the outdoor footprint and connects seamlessly to the updated interior, establishing a festive, open-air experience that defines The Mexicano’s vibrant atmosphere. Exterior updates introduce a new façade treatment and signage concept without major structural work, enhancing curb appeal and aligning the space with the restaurant’s distinctive identity.
